Elgym’s Oberstufe watches Christopher Nolan‘s THE ODYSSEE at Gartenbaukino
The film “The Odyssey” was one of the best movies that I’ve watched so far. I really enjoyed it because I was so curious to know if Odysseus would find the way back home or not.
This movie was filmed in an extremely realistic way and this made it feel more entertaining. I’m so glad that we had the opportunity to watch this amazing masterpiece at one of the oldest and biggest cinemas in Austria, the Gartenbau. It felt luxurious sitting in this old-fashioned hall and it was also a good experience that all classes in our high-school went together on this school trip. So we also saw our friends from the other classes and were all united.
In my opinion I think that taking us all to this cinema to watch “The Odyssey” was an incredible idea, because this movie deals with many conflicts and topics that we still have to face today, for example that war isn’t a way to achieve freedom or that we should respect different religions, opinions and believes. That’s why I recommend watching this masterpiece.
